If you didn't know already, MUN stands for model united nations. This activity is a replica of the united nations which is a group of representatives from each country that get together and help each other solve world issues for the greater good. Since in our class we were learning about food justice, all of the situations we were dealing with had to do with food crisis'. In the end I really liked this project and the way everything was planned out. To get to know the system we started in class doing practice MUN conferences like zombie apocalypse but, the one simulation I remember best and that I felt was helpful was the poverty irradiation because I feel like I definitely grew In my group work like for example when we put together our resolution, Julian and I were the main ones to write it and I normally would let someone else do it. Because of this MUN I feel confident to take on the real MUN conference when I will be representing The Republic of Yemen.(For more information look at blog posts #4 an #5) In this project we did a lot of researching to find information about our country that we were assigned. Since I had Yemen I knew nothing about it and I forced to to a lot of research. One website that I found was the most helpful is: https://operations.ifad.org/web/ifad/operations/country/home/tags/yemen I really lerned a lot from this website
