The thing I remember most from this week is when we did a Model United Nations (which is just when you represent a country and you are put in a simulation) for a zombie apocalypse simulation and I was assigned the United States of America. Everyone teamed up on us and it was not fair, I realized from this (moment of growth) that you need to think about how other people interoperate things cause if you want them on your team they need to hear something that they will benefit them, ex) everyone teamed up on us because they felt like everything we proposed was just to benefit us so next time I will definitely make the proposal sound more appealing to the audience. Although it wasn't a complete failure because we were still able to get Brazil to side with us. Next time I will definitely make our proposal sound like the other countries will benefit from siding with us.

This week was pretty good I'd say it was a success. I got into the class that I wanted (Sofia and Matt's class) and the project we started sounds awesome. Its called "Comida con Causa" To start off the project we did something called the $5 challenge to practice budgeting for food. We had five dollars to make a meal for four people and it had to have at least two fresh ingredients. We made a smoothie and it wasn't a huge success. It was a bit bitter because we used too much Greek yogurt. Something we plan on doing differently next time to make it better is less yogurt and more honey to make it sweeter. Overall I'd say the whole thing was a success because a visitor really liked it and he gave each member of our group a dollar so I'd say that was a win .
The picture below is not of my group but this is what one of the meals looked like and can you believe it was under $5! |
